Building our home, with Bill as our project manager, was truly a great experience.  From the moment that we started meeting with the architect, Bill’s opinions and insights were invaluable and undoubtedly saved a lot of hassle later on in the building process.  We had spent a couple of years scouring books and magazines to collect ideas for our new house, and Bill was able to make them a reality.  In addition, especially in our kitchen, he had great ideas that we hadn’t thought of and he took special care to incorporate our family’s needs into every built-in.  We really felt that in all of the beautiful built-ins that he designed and in some cases personally built, he really understood our style and taste.

Something that really stood out to us during the building process was the lack of pressure and stress.  Of course, we wanted everything to be just right, and in a few instances, such as picking out stone, it took us a little longer than anticipated to find the perfect color.  Our patient builder and project manager just kept putting up samples for us and never made us feel pressured to settle for something that wasn’t right.  Of course, we’ve all heard horror stories from people who have built a home and ended up on unfriendly terms with the builder, but we are happy to report that our project was a fun and exciting experience that resulted in a home that exceeded our expectations and a new friend in Bill Crooktson.

This letter is to thank you for your creativity and work on our home.  We love it! Each day we enjoy the beautiful and comfortable surroundings that you designed and produced for us.

As the project progressed from the original kitchen rebuild to almost all other areas of our home we kept finding it hard to believe that it could turn out so beautifully.  The kitchen project grew to include the dining room, family room, mud room, sun room, and on to the entire upstairs with our master suite becoming a major project that lead to modifications and improvements to the exterior as well as the interior of the entire house.  You totally rebuilt our house in a way that we could not have imagined when we started.  You took a very ordinary space and made it absolutely beautiful and yet very, very functional.

On the original kitchen project you miraculously succeeded in getting all of the appliances on my wife’s lengthy list to fit into the kitchen and butler’s pantry and work together perfectly!  I still cannot believe you did it.  The reuse of existing doors and other items blended the old with the new in very interesting ways.  You were never afraid to move or revise anything when needed, and yet you were very firm about things that we should not change.  We appreciate your great designs and superb talent for execution.  You employed excellent subcontractors with skill and craftsmanship.  You were always on the job to be sure they performed.  The value of your efforts and artistic talents is almost beyond belief.

Thank you again Bill, for your efforts and your integrity.  We certainly would recommend you to anyone who wants the very best, most beautiful home or room that can be constructed.  You are a very talented, artistic designer, builder and craftsman.  We sincerely appreciate your efforts on our home.

Bill Crookston came to us highly recommended for our kitchen remodeling project and still exceeded all of our expectations. We had some unique needs - Irene and our daughter-in-law May can over a thousand quarts of fruit and vegetables every summer and fall. While the emphasis was definitely function, Bill managed to give us a working, country kitchen that is also aesthetically pleasing. One of the qualities that distinguished Bill from the others we have interviewed and worked with was his ability to help us understand how we wanted to utilize our kitchen and then translate these ideas into the many details needed to reach our goals. He did not rush us and always asked questions that clarified what we wanted to accomplish.

Bill also did a great job in all of the other areas that are so important for contractors. The project was well researched and planned so there were truly no surprises as the work was being done. Bill's team completed all of the work on schedule and often earlier. He did this within the budget that we had established. Bill personally built and installed the shelving units for our 6" X 15' walk-in pantry in order to give us exactly what we wanted. His subcontractors were professional, highly qualified, courteous and always cleaned up their work area daily. Bill was on site most days and in communication with us all of the other days.

We are trilled with our new kitchen and pantry. The outcome was great and the entire process went so smoothly that we can say it far surpassed our expectations in every way. Bill Crookston has clearly earned his excellent reputation and we recommend him very highly to anyone considering a construction project.

What can we say about our experience with Bill Crookston? Even though we have built homes previously, our recent experience with Bill Crookston far surpassed our expectations. Prior to meeting with Bill we spent a lot of time designing our floor plan around our style of living, and family needs.
